Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
Washington Union HS Class of 2017
During my time at Washington Union I was a Honors and AP student challenging myself throughout all four years. At the same time I was able to manage various clubs and community involvement opportunities with many of them having me in a leadership position.
I had the pleasure of serving as the 2016 - 2017 Student Body President. Through this opportunity vested in me I was able to oversee many of the school activities to promote school culture. As a result I was able to identify and correct areas that lacked care and representation. Under my leadership for example we are on our way to establish a sense of inclusiveness through club participation in decisions involving the entire student body.
Through this mix of education and leadership skills and opportunities provided to me I am graduating top in my class as Valedictorian. The Washington Union community has fostered a great environment allowing me to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
University of California, Berkeley
I am proud to say that I will be attending The University of California, Berkeley in the fall to join the class of 2021. Cal was always my dream school after a visit during spring semester of my junior year and now I can not believe I will be a part of the Berkeley legacy that includes Nobel Prize winners and the hub of the Free Speech Movement . Currently I am enrolled as an Undeclared student in the College of Natural Resources. My intentions however are to move into the College of Letters and Sciences to pursue a degree in Political Science.
Many opportunities and experiences await me at Cal and I can not wait to see what I am able to do there through their world class education and extensive opportunities in undergraduate research and student organizations. Go Bears!
